DesignWalk.Art 2021/22

Design Walk. Art (DWA) is a dialogue of art, design and business, which, against the backdrop of the consequences of the Corona Pandemic 20/21, aims to revitalize Bavarian city centers. The works exhibited on squares and in shop windows – neon installations, sculptures, paintings as well as tape art – by Alexander Deubl, Jan Kuck, Felix Rodewaldt, Johannes Vetter and guests, are a living expression of contemporary art and offer visitors, residents and business people of Augsburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Passau an increased incentive to flock to the city centers again and to enliven them with culture.

In cooperation with local institutions, museums, restaurants and stores, special activities such as artist talks (Kinderkunsthaus Munich), interactive tours (My Art Walk App) but also personal guided tours (Bernheimer Contemporary) are offered.

Opening in Munich on September 5, 2021 with the neon installation Always reach beyond the light by Jan Kuck at the Ohel-Jakob-Synagogue, for the Jewish New Year „Rosh Ha Shanah“, followed by Passau, Augsburg and Nuremberg. Duration in all four cities until October 31, 2021.

A project by Bernheimer Contemporary, sponsored by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. With the kind support of: bayern design, BAM!
